Just use the atf+4 for the fluid. There should be two plugs. The one on the bottom is the drain plug. Open it and it will drain. To add it is the plug above. You add it like you would the diff. Fill it till it starts to come out. I would buy two quarts. I think it takes 3 pints. Make sure both plugs are close tight. When I mean fill it up till it comes out means till the fill plug it is coming out. Its a 30 mm socket will get it off. Good luck.

Basiclly. But you use gear oill I would either get the haynes book or call the dealership and see what kind gear oil. Like grade you need. The front should able to come off with a quarter in racket or a rubber plug you could pull off with a screw driver. On my jeep I just have one plug on a diff but the same process. I would go to harbor freight and get the transfer pump they sell for like 6 bucks and get it. It will. Elp extremely.

It transfer the fluid from the bottle to the transfer case or diff. Its hard to poor it into there by its self. Buts its possible.

Yeah. Make sure you don't get it on your clothes. Lol. It takes forever to get it off.

I don't see how I'd be able to do the rear, would it be expensive for a shop to do it?

What tank? If your talking about the gas tank you might want to think of some new leaf springs next.
