Any idea what this computer is trying to tell me? its intermitent and annoying. ding ding Service 4WD switch. Nothing seems to trigger it that I can pinpoint.

its in my 93. I don't think the 04 sends msgs quite like that.

 

Not sure, I could see that on the newer one but not the older????

From what I can find in searching, it don't affect any thing, and more times than not it's the VIC that is the prob not the T-case. Also this is a common fault on ALL Grands right up through '08....

 

I know that my VC is giving trouble as sometimes when I turn it sometimes acts like things are binding and hopping. I am going to get underneath and see what my oil levels are in the diffs and case. I should have done that already but its been fun just playing with the cool stuff. Don't make much sense wheeling with a lifted truck nice tires and no oil in the tranfer case or something dump like that.
