RPMs climb at idle

RPMs climb at idle
I have a 2003 jeep wj Laredo 4.7L with 180k miles. Recently the rpms are climbing to 1000 from 500, when in park or at idle. Any ideas what can cause this? The jeep hasn't stalled yet and this just started recently.

Did you find out what was causing this problem? I have a 2002 WJ and sometimes it will idle fine between 500-700rpms and then other times it fluctuates up and down between 500-1100rpms.
