rpm gauge went up

rpm gauge went up
I have an 03 grandcherokee the rpm gauge has gone up about 3to 400 rpm higher than usual at normal driving speed it seems to run opk no lights on no buzzers going off it also seems to shift ok no jerks or odd sounds just wondering what this might be any help will be greatly accepted Thanks Jake
