please help tranny shifts strong through all gears going up while acclearating .. at 65 goes in to overdrive, when i let off gas and it hits 65 again it has a jerking downshift -- many engine codes:
731,732,733,734 covering 1st thru 4th gears" incorrect ratio"
320 ignition/distributor engine speed input circut malfunction
715 input turbine speed sensor malfunction
725 engine speed input circut malfunction
no slips of any kind under acceleration , motor is running smooth throughout all of this

This "trick" did correct my overdrive, but I do not know if will work for you.
By default, when you start engine, the overdrive it is on. Push the button to disable and drive until pick up 50mph the engage the overdrive. It should engage at this speed. It my work. I did this three times. It is something wrong with transmition computer.

Your TCM may need to be "Re-flashed" by the dealer. Our '04 has needed this a few times since we bought it new.
Ours has the 5-spd. auto., 4th and 5th are overdrive. On the 4-spd auto 4th is overdrive. The torque converter locks up at 46 MPH. It shifts into overdrive before that speed.
Is yours the 4 or 5-spd? You can count the times it shifts on take-off to see when it goes into overdrive, and at what speed the converter locks up.
Your issues with the TCM might be concerning the torque converter.
I find it hard to believe that it's actually shifting into OD at 65 MPH.
Here's some TSBs about the WJs: http://www.wjjeeps.com/tsb.htm#NEW
And Welcome to CF!
