Hello,

I am new here, and have an problem.
I am driven an 2002 cherokee overland, just bought it and are very happy with this car.
My problem is that the roof console (computer) is doing nothing, now is my question is the console broken?
I have checked the fuse they are all ok, or can I maybe turn on the roof console but cant find the button?

I hope someone can help me

yes it can be turned off/on try pushing the C/T button

 

Try it for couple times but nothing, I belive the console is broken.

 

Have you checked all your fuses. I wonder if there is a dedicated one for the overhead display. I have no idea how they are wired in but seems like they would use one power source. Don't sound like a fun problem to try to solve. If you do figure it out come back and post what it was.

 

I will order tommorow a new console and hope that will solve the problem.
I have today again checked all the fuses but they are al good.

I have checked the connector they is plugged into the console and there is voltage on the connector, so I belive the console is broken.

 

thats to bad. I bet that console will not be inexpensive. Are you going to try to find a used one, or go brand new?

 

Also check the wires. In my 91 with overhead, the wires go along the windshield and if the windshield has been replaced then they could have messed up the wires.

Also, if the seals have gone at anytime you could have gotten water into that console.

 

I have bought a used one for 70,-- euro and get it tommorow (post)
I will post tommorow if this was the problem, that I hope so..

Today I get my new roof console, plugged the connector into it and it works.
So now I am for sure the old one is broken...

I have bought it by jeep-parts in the netherlands, they advertise on marktplaats (dutch sell site) Il put their link with all there advertise.
