Hi guys,

new to the forum, but have been lurking and reading quite a lot of posts lately.

Question is, I have a windshield washer pump for an '05 Jeep Grand Cherokee on the way.

How do i access the pump to replace it? Do I have to pull the wheel inner fender plastic like the older jeeps that i've been reading on? Couldn't find anything on my year.

Thanks

Bump, anyone? I believe there is just one reservoir for the front and rear wipers and believe the pump to be located under such reservoir?

Just wondering an easy way to locate this and change it out.

I have a '00 WJ and mine is behind the left headlight and is accessed from the wheelwell behind the plastic liner. There are 2 pumps on the bottom of the tank, one for each end of the car. Wherever your WW tank is, they're in the bottom of the tank.

My wife's Dodge Caravan's front pump went one winter day. I switched the hoses and electrical connecters so she'd have WW on the highway for her commute until I could get a new one. Her 96 Caravan's tank was in the same place as my WJ's

Yes you can. Just make sure you put all the retainer pins back in. I didn't and snow pack caused the liner to come loose and rub on the tire.

Yep. Changed it out.
Takes a little elbow grease to get the liner and clips out, but pretty straightforward replacement. I'd recommend getting some extra clips for the fender after to reinstall as some will more than likely break.

Also, nice thing on the 2005 JGC and up, looks like just one pump for front and rear windshield.
