Replacing Battery Terminal
I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (V8). I have already replaced my ground (black) terminal easily.
However the positive terminal is no longer making a solid connection. The issue with this one is that it has two wire's going into the terminal.
The negative side has one larger wire, this one has two smaller wires. Now my mechanic said to buy the same type of terminal.
However no place around here sell's any like that. The folks at NAPA, told me to just cut em, and splice them together and put them into a standard terminal.
My question is can this be done? Will it cause any issues? I've never seen a terminal that has two smaller red wires, instead of one large red wire.

Yes you can cut the positive wires off the old connector, strip them a bit and attach them to a new battery connector. You want to cut the wires right at the old connector so as to leave as much wire as possible. I Did it on my ZJ about 4 years ago because the factory connectors began to crack and wouldn't stay tight. Haven't had an issue since I did it.
