Default remove handbrake cable?

Hi, i'm going to remove my rear axle.
How do i remove the handbrake cable from the bracket under the car? The service manual say use worm drive hose clamp, should i use hose clamp arround the brakecable inside the bracket to get the cables loose?

Hose clamp? Not sure how that would help much. Do you plan on replacing the rear axle or are you just dropping it for maintenance? If you plan on putting it back in just disconnect it at the splitter that that the main line for the handle connects to. If you DONT plan on putting it in plan on fooling around with the drum brakes to disconnect them. I dont remember how i did it as its been so long ago, but i disconnected on of my cables when it locked down. Wasnt all that difficult, just remember where everything goes in the drum brakes.

The hose clamp trick is for the clip where the brake cable attaches to the backing plate. On the clip you will see 3-4 little fingers that must be depressed to pull the cable free from the backing plate. I have used needle nose and flat blade screwdrivers too.
