Default Rear Wiper Hub Cover Smash Fix

The overhead door on my garage was up. When I opened the tailgate, not paying attention to the clearance, this part of the rear wiper arm met with a rib on the overhead door. I attempted glue but no-go. Besides, I don't want it to look crappy. Put yourself in my shoes for a minute. How would you fix it?

Salvage yard time should be easy to find and cheap.

Maybe contact JPXJMOAB, or others on the forum, if you want to purchase a good used one.

Guess what! I've been thru my local yards looking for one and most of them are gone already. When I replaced my wiper motor, I paid $100 for a new factory arm and blade. The weirdest thing was the new motor OR arm didn't come with a new nut! The old arm didn't have the ramp thing on it to lift the blade off the glass. The blade kept getting caught under the edge of the glass.

Good question. I replace my arm a few years ago and it did not come with a new cover. The nut area where the cover goes on it is larger than the stock one and the old cover no longer fits perfectly. I glued my old one on. It looks okay if you don't fixate on it. Be aware that there may be different size replacement arms out there and the stock overs from a salvage yard may not fit.
