rear main seal?

Default rear main seal?

i have a few drips of oil coming off my bell housing on my 95 zj 4.0 does this sound like a rms? or could the oil be coming from somewhere else, hasnt leaked until i changed the oil.

this may sound dumb but did you spill any oil when changing it and it could just be running down now

i did explode the oil filter lol. but all that oil was cleaned up and that was about 3 weeks ago. this looks fresh everytime

o ok ha but yea i would think so that where mine is coming from im pretty sure but its not bad enough for me to worry about

ya its a few drops every other night but my grandpas yelling at me because its ruining his driveway lol. im goign to start with the valve cover i think and see if thats it if not its rms time. anyone else have any ideas?

my mom said the same thing to me about the driveway so i started parking in the grass and then with rain and weight theres ruts in the front yard ha but good luck with fixing your leak did you try adding any stop leak stuff

yea very good point and it will eventually start leaking again anyway so if possible fix it

ya i havnt taken to much time looking for it all i know is that its coming off the bell housing. i know my valve covers leaking a little but i dont see how that would leak down to the bell housing

changed the valve cover gasket and its still leaking. its not the rear main seal because theres no oil build up where i cleaned it its all on the bottom of the bell housing. i looked everywhere and it looks like its comign from the upper half of the engine.

Could be comming from the back of the valve cover or freeze plug.
