Question Rear Hatch Problem

I have a 1993 GC Laredo. I can't seem to find any power at the back hatch to open the rear window. Can anyone shed any light on where I should find power back there to start tracing the problem. I could leave the back hatch panel off and operate the solenoid manually, but I would rather have it working properly.

I am a newbie to jeeps (at 77 years old), and I like to tinker with things, so any and all help would be reallllly appreciated.

Thanks, rick

Check the wiring harness where it comes thru the body and hatch for broken wires. They can get cut from chaffing or broken from flexing.

You've got me by a couple of years. I'm only 69. I bought my first jeep in '08, a '97 ZJ. (Grand Cherokee)

Welcome to CF! Lots of good information here. Just remember this is an opinion site so all info may not be factual and are just made from personal experiences.
