Hi there, I had a tire fall of my vehicle a few years back and in lieu of the accident, have been stuck with a bent axel. It is apparently the reason as to why I have a terrible high pitched noise coming from the back of my car. If i'm able to get the part used, or in salvage, how much do we think i'm looking at? I had a mechanic tell me somewhere around $500 or $600 which i'm willing to pay, but will it be more? Seems pricey.

500$ isn't horrid for an axle swap, depending on what all gets replaced.

 

$500-$600 not too bad if that is for parts and labor.
