radiator transmission fluid leak
2000 wj: 4.0 and automatic transmission
I am leaking transmission fluid not on the line but from the radiator...now its not exactly coming from the radiator, the leak is at the threaded part and the flange nut and if i grab the line and push up or down the threaded part will move in the flange nut: should i tighten it as hard as i can...i tryed tightening the flange nut but still have the same amount of leak...i did not want to overtighten and break something... any opinions? ...now its not dripping out if i wipe it off while the jeep is not running, its seems to only leak when under the high pressures while driving...
any help is much appreciated, thanks

The same thing happened to me in my old XJ. I'm not sure if it was the right way to fix it, but I used teflon tape on the threads, and never had a problem again.

Sounds like the small rubber seal inside the nut is done for. Try going to a junk yard or maybe your parts store and you might have to replace that line. It's fairely easy though since it just disconnects from a rubber hose and clamp under neath the engine.
