Radiator fan not kicking on... CTS code thrown

Year: 1999
Model: Grand Cherokee
Engine: 4.0 L6
...And I replaced the coolant temp sensor. Didn't do anything -.- I have a hunch it's not the temp switch, but rather than theres some bad wiring/connection somewhere... the motor works, tested it.
I do have a question though.. shouldn't there always be current running to the CTS? Because there isn't at the moment, that's why I'm thinking wiring issue... ugh I really don't wanna have to try to trace that all the way back to who knows where. Not familiar with Jeeps, anyone have any ideas for where connections are that I can check?
