quick question !
Does any of you know what year after the 99 4.0 engines have the better piston skirt design that is not prone to failure ?
I found a 06 wrangler 4.0 with only 6,000 miles ! And at a great price to boot.
I just dont want to spend the money knowing that in another 190,000 miles I might have to change the motor again !

Nick, the 99's have the piston issue, other than that they are solid.
I was hoping that Jeep fixed the poor design and someone knew what year it was done.
