So I toyed with my 98 today and found a sensor. Scenario: Trimmed fenders and took my bumper and grill off cuz I hit a deer. Attached to the grill on the backside was a sensor. I kept it intact b/c I'm afraid that its an airbag sensor. What do I do with it? Also, is that an evap can that is square on the drivers side behind the bumper? What can I do with it before my 31's rip it off?

 

that sensor is your outside temp sensor for the overhead console, and yes that is the evap can, you can try to move it up inside the motor compartment, but if you have a v8 good luck, there isnt much room if you have the stock air box

my charcole canister is semi mounted but this spot was easy and i didnt have to make new lines i just re arranged them
