Question about bigger tires
right now i have an 06 grand cherokee laredo 2wd. everythings stock right now but i need new tires and was thinking about getting some 265/70r-17 and i know id have to put 2" coil spacers on it to get the clearence for the tires which im willing to do but my question is how would i recalibrate the speedometer/odometer to run in sync w/ my bigger tires?
Also is it smart to get the 2" spacers or should i just get the biggest tires my car will fit? my car is pretty new and i dont wanna mess it up

the dealer usually can recalibrate to a little larger than stock..or get new gears..or there are some companies that make a speedo recalibrator for your wk like superlift...but honestly with 31's it will hardly be noticeable,if at all.
is it smart to lift? thats your call..if you just want a little bigger tires than just do that

one more question... what would be the easiest thing to do to get a little bigger tires than itlll take right now? i know tht sounds like a dumb quesrtions but ppl have told me so many different things. like theres 2'' body spacers in a 4 pack but then some ppl said i need 2" coil spacers for the front and regular body spacers for the back then someone sais i need strut extensors so i dont know what to do next

your wk has a solid rear axle with coils..the front is IFS..so you will need coils spacers for the rear and strut extensions for the front. if you look around you will see several companies make lifts for your jeep, for example http://www.teraflex.biz/products/ter...nd-cherokee-wk
