I'm looking at an 01 WJ with Quadra Drive I and my dad is concerned with the system. He was told it was problematic and would lead to issues down the road. We know very little about Jeeps, and I was hoping some of you could shed some light on QD for me, mainly with reliability. The car I'm looking at only has 120k miles on it, with one owner who took good care of it. I'm hoping that should last a good while with some light off-roading. Please tell me about your experiences with QD; thanks!

Edit: It is Quadra Drive, I put Quadra Trac at first.

 

I havent really seen to many probs. Just keep the same size tire on it. The ones prior to 96 had prob, like mine, but it still would show up for about 100k. The OLD quad had lots of problems, in the late 70s, maybe that is what your dad is remembering.

 

Is yours a V8? I have an 01 WJ but mine has the Selec-Trac but I have the i6. Just curious as to what the difference is.
