My right passenger window doesn't work. When I go to lower it I hear a click noise but then nothing? Luckily it is closed and has been for almost a year but now I wana fix it. Could it b a regulator or motor? It is a 99 jeep grand Cherokee limited.

Sounds like a window regulator. They go all the time on jeeps. Take the door panel off and look inside. You'll see a red cable looped in the. See if it has come out of the window motor. If it has then you have to replace the whole regulator.

Same thing on mine, the ONLY place i could find a replacement regulator for my 2 door was from the dealer at $260, so ya its still broke. Yours could either be the motor or the regulator, youl have to take the door panel of and check

Mines the regulator and it will go down but not back up unless you pull up on the window while hitting the switch

If you don't use the rear windows often just swap motors.

Mines deff the regulator, theres a plastic tube with a cable in it that connects to the motor, then to the window, the tube broke on mine so when i try to put it up the cable pushes out of the tube and just goes into my door, its still holds the window up but it wont go up on its own

Is it possible to just swap the motors?? If it is then can you guide me? I seldom use my rear window. I guess drivers window is more important then the rear.
