Hi All 97 Grand Cherokee the roof will vent when I push the switch forward and closes fine when I push it to the Rear however if the roof is closed and I push it to the rear it won't slide open. I have just purchased the truck and on the test drive it worked after playing with the switch a few times, is there a relay that I should be looking at? Relay switch or motor I guess.

 

yes the switch itself can be shorted out or a wire pulled loose inside it. i
