A Pleasant Suprize
I pulled the intake off of my 4.0 today in order to do my intake swap and found the intake valves and runners to be spotless. I was really thinking I would find a lot carbon build up in the intake ports and on the valves. So far the swap is going without a hitch.

My 95 ZJ, I finished up today and took it for a spin, I can feel a difference with my butt dyno just cruising around in town. It feels like the engine is more responsive and picks up speed faster without having to flog it to death. I'm happy with the results, I think I got more out of it for the money than I would have with a 300 dollar cold air intake. My total cost for the swap was 130 bucks.

An intake from a 2000 XJ. Claims have been made of up to 25 more horsepower just by swapping out the old log intake to the newer horseshoe intake. I'm not sure if I got 25 HP, but I did get some extra that can be felt.
