Default PCM issues 1997 ZJ 4.0

I have a 1997 ZJ 4.0 with an in-line 6 that I purchased about 6 months ago, and for the most part it has ran well. I ran into a couple issues recently that have me stumped. Originally, it ran okay, but the instrument cluster and door locks were going haywire. The instrument cluster would completely power down (all gauges to zero, odometer off) and when it turned back on, the door locks would automatically relock themselves. When the instrument cluster was powered down, the power windows wouldn’t work, door locks, or side mirror adjustments.

That was a couple months ago. Recently I ran into some ignition issues where the car would crank but not start and it was hard to get going. During this time, it was throwing a P0351 code (Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction). But, during this time (maybe a couple of weeks) I had no issues with the instrument cluster and etc.

Plugs, wires, distributor, etc are all brand new. I put two different ignition coils in it and it ran well for a few days at most. I took it to a shop, they said ignition coil also, and I was frustrated because I was pretty certain I ruled that out. They replaced it ( mentioned something about the vehicle not liking aftermarket coils &#128580 and once again it ran well for a few days but still ended up with the struggle to start and the p0351 code.I took out the PCM cleaned the pins and connectors with electronics cleaner, applied dielectric grease and zip tied the connectors back onto the PCM (a quick fix I saw on this forum, lol).

Now, I’m back to the jeep running well, haven’t had a problem with a crank no start in about a week, but once again the instrument cluster is going haywire (door locks, windows, etc also) !!

So this brings me to my question; It has to be the PCM right? It’s on its way out? Maybe the connectors? Those are the only two ideas I have. As a side note, the PCM in the vehicle is a remanned one so the previous owner must have replaced it at some point. Any ideas fellas?

Thanks,
Kelvin

Doors locks windows etc are controlled by the BCM, not the PCM. Up under the left side of the dash drivers side
