I have an oil leak that doesn't leave much of a puddle but when it leaks it leaks right on the exhaust and of course smells awful. It drips down on the drivers side rear of the engine where the pipe just starts to bend to the passenger side. Any common leaks in the area?

 

Maybe clean things off real good and look up there and try to see where its coming from. The easier common leak areas are the valve cover gasket, oil filter/adapter o-rings and oil pressure sending unit. Other than that either an oil pan or rear main seal, if its the oil pan, go ahead and do the rear main while the pan is off.
