Good Morning All,

I have a 97 Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.2L. Yesterday night she decided not to start. I have fuel and spark at the coil, but still no start. It isn't throwing any codes. I disconnected the postive battery cable last night, but when I reconnected and tried to start this morning, I had no power (dash lights, HUD screen, etc.). Any ideas? I am fairly tech savvy, but no mechanic

 

After some more searching, it sounds likely the Crank Position Sensor is the root of the problem. I found a great "how-to" on changing it, just want to see if anyone has another suggestion. Trying not to spend money where I don't have to

I`m just in the process of changing out my sons on his 93 5.2, sure is a right old pain to get to, got it out and it has a crack running all the way down the length of it, chaning over to the new tonight, I was thinking of changing out the hex bolts to bolt heads, just in case it goes out again.
