no spark?!
my 98 4.0 wont start and i checked the spark plug wires for spark... nothing, i took off the distributor cap and checked there for spark... nothing.
what could be the culprit?

Test the pickup coil (also known as cam sensor) inside the distrubtor.
Swap the ASD relay under the hood with AC relay.
Test Crank Position Sensor.
Test coil.
I just went through this nightmare and for me it was the pickup coil. There's are hundreds of posts showing the testing procedures in more detail.
