no fuel pressure from tank, no codes
Driving home from work yesterday, my 2000 jgc laredo 4.0 lost throttle response, dropped to idle for a few seconds then eventually died. Tried restarting a few times, it would sputter around 4k rpm and then die, hitting the gas pedal had no effect. Got it back home, sprayed started fluid in the intake and would fire up until it burned off, so it's getting spark. This morning I put in a new filter/pressure regulator, but still no pressure at the rail. I unhooked the feed coming out of the filter going to the engine, turned the key, not a drop came out. I'm thinking it's the pump, but I see a lot of people have had similar stalling/no start problems and replaced the pump with no effect, and ended up being the CPS, but there's also usually a code when that's the case. . . through all of this, I have no codes. Relays and fuses all seem ok. . . any thoughts or ideas of what could be the culprit other than the pump would be helpful, or does it just sound like a failing pump? Thanks

well I got a new pump assembly installed today, took 4 hours by myself, but it's running mint. The problem was a corroded wire that split apart going to the top of the assembly. Again, thanks for the pointers folks.
