Question New owner - basic help

Hi,

Have 3 questions, If anyone wanna help n new Jeep owner.

1) Have a engine oil leak somewhere - are there common leak spots / where to check 1st? it is dripping on the 1st set of mufflers (between the front axils) causing horrible smoke :P

2) Plugged in the 25 Amp radio fuse(fuse number 5) in the cabin fuse box, but instantly blows. With Radio unplugged, it does not blow. (I have the factory premium audio) Cannot find short between B+ and ground on wiring.

3) Is it normal for the radiator fan to slowly turn even in cold? I have done about 100km but never heard the fan fully rotate. Issue? Temp guage inside is never higher than about 80 Celsius. (hydraulic fan)

Thanks, Im sure many more questions will come.

I don't know the 4.7, so I hope someone else will jump in here, but I can give some general pointers:

Clean it up! You can't see where the leak is if the engine is covered in old oil. Clean it up so you can see where it's coming from.

Start at the top and work your way down.

If the harness checks out fine, the only option is the radio is shot.

Considering that I'm not exactly a guru on this topic, all I can say is that, about your 3rd question, the answer would be: is perfectly normal.
