So I purchased my very first Jeep today. A 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. Nice vehicle.....needs a little cosmetic work...
but....
it has a 3" lift. And I don't like it. At all. Does anyone know where I can find instructions to remove it myself?
Also, my rear passenger door is a pain to open. I have to push the button (on the outside) 2-3 times then pull on it pretty hard to get it to open. It's like the first couple times it doesn't want to open (I always have to push the button in more than once to open it, it never opens on the first push of the button and pull).
Is there some way to fix this?
Someone please help. I love Jeeps and would like to stay a Jeep-lover for many years to come. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Ok going to be completely honest... You could find someone with a grand Cherokee that was stock and trade straight across or even get a little money back. But going back to stock after a lift is not recommended or easy because you have to find all the parts and then hope that when they put it on they didn't do some jank fab or anything like that. I hate to say that when you just got it. But welcome to the forum and some other members may be able to help with the door issue

Would it be possible to just drop it to a 1"? Or is that not recommended either after a 3" lift? It's not so much the lift, the 3" is just tooooo much. Lol.

How was it lifted? Springs, spacers, or something weird fabbed up? As far as the door issue, open the door and look below the door latch opening on the door, there will be a slotted hole. Look into that hole and you will see an Allen head screw, I think it is 3/16" . Loosen that screw a little and then push the door handle button in and let it snap back a few times and then tighten the screw. You may have to adjust the striker in the door jamb a little too, that requires a T-45 Torx bit. Why don't you like the lift?

All you have to do is go out to the local U-Pull-It and get some stock coils and swap them out. It looks like you have aftermarket rear lower control arms that will have to be changed out too, you can buy new ones for about 50 bucks each. Plan on replacing the shocks too. My ZJ had a 2" spacer lift when I got it. I pulled the spacers out because I hated the way the Jeep handled and rode, plus it was noisy as hell.
