Default New Injectors MAJOR Problems

Ok I have a 2001 Grand cherokee Lareado 4.7 .Had a guy put in 8 new injectors and plugs. started it up and I have fuel dripping out the tail pipe white smoke etc... I can pull the wires from 1 , 3, 5 ,7 and 4 coil packs and it does not change the idle at all and to beat that it actually idles fine just a slight miss. I put a noid light on the connectors of all of coil packs and injectors and they are pulsing as they should. I am wondering if maybe he put the grounds on the wrong location ( found one that was just looped ) The jeep was running ok before except for a miss ( code read # 3 injector ) so I figured if I was gonna do one I may as well do all. I also have ohmed out the coil packs and injectors and all seem ok. Any help would be a Godsend. I really donn't want to strike a match.....LOL Also I forgot to mention if I hook everything back up ( coil packs and injectors ) it will turn over several times before starting BUT if I disconnect # 1 , 3, and 5 coil packs I can bump the key and it fires right up....

The 4.7 has the coil-over-plug setup, right? (Versus the coil rail like the 200/2001 4.0l) Are the coil wires connected to the correct coils and not swapped around? That could cause dumping fuel into the exhaust instead of igniting it. Wrong or a defective injector that's stuck open would be my second guess. If you're getting fuel out the exhaust, you probably have it getting into the crankcase as well - does the oil smell like gas?

The coil wires are not long enough to cross up and the injectors were all replaced at the same time. I guess I could have gotten a bad one but now I'm only getting one code ( P053 ) I've checked all the coils and they are ok. Oil was changed at the same time and seems ok. It looks like a trip to the shop is in my future .
