I have 3.73's now with my 31's. I am gonna get 33's but won't have the money for new gears at the same time. I'm just wondering how bad it will be on the vehicle. I'm not worried about mpg or speed racer. I just don't want to hurt the tranny or engine.

I have the 4.0 with 3.73 gears and 33's and it does alright, but I hope to regear to 4.10 after my Turdy five blows up and I upgrade the rear

What year and model is yours??? I have a 97 Laredo with 3.55s and I'm swapping in a d44hd and need a set of front 3.73s to go in mine. I thought only the v8s had 3.73

I've got a 4.0 and 32's with 3.73 and am excited about going to 4.56. 4.11 isn't a big enough jump from 3.73 to justify the cost. I realize 4.56 will be a bit lower than stock, but I would have wanted that anyway.
