Hi, I bought a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee on August 17. Yesterday, the entire dash board area went dark and the gauges stopped working. I took it to the dealer yesterday and now I am thinking I bought a lemon. Has anyone else had this problem?

 

A lot of the electronics and the gauge cluster have been redesigned for the 2014 model year. Unfortunately it can take time to work out the bugs. What did they tell you was the cause for the concern?

 

The Jeep is at the dealer and they have not had time to look at it yet. I will post an update when I get it back. I was just curious to know if this is a problem for others. This is the first time I have purchased and Jeep and I am highly discouraged.

 

This is the first time I have heard of something like this on the new Grands. It is probably not a common problem. Let us know what they find.

 

Got my vehicle back from the dealer and the dash is now working. They said they checked all the connectors, so hopefully it will not happen again. We shall see. I will post again if the problem returns.

 

Last I heard there were problems with the unicorn homing device on the 2014 Grand Cherokees. Problems with the rainbow valves too.

 

LOLOLOL!!! Now that's funny right there!

 

Checked connectors? Didn't actually fix anything?
