Ok, so my uncle has a 97 GC with the straight 6, but has the v8 auto tranny. This leads me to believe the bolt paterns match up. Am I correct in assuming that the v8 (4.7 or 5.9) will bolt up to something like a ax-15 5-speed from a cherokee? Possibly a 6 speed from a newer jeep like a liberty or wrangler? I'm looking to drop a v8 in my 07 kj when I do the solid axel swap. I just wanna check whats compatible so I can shop for all the parts before the swap gets underway so it all goes smoothly.
