So what transfer case do u guys recommend? Reading other posts it seems no one likes this 249 anyway. So I guess I shouldn't be too pissed right? I'll be putting a better one in anyway right?

Ok I found this. It pretty much answers all our questions. Looks like a big project, lots of things to factor in and check. I'm screwed, mine is the 94 ZJ, the year they changed gears a bit. Thanks everyone for the schooling, this helped a lot.

hey all I just found a 231J nearby. It's from a XJ. I have a 5.2 94ZJ. Is there any specific questions I need to ask the seller before I buy this? This will be my first swap, I have a lot of info at my access on the swap but just don't know what to worry/look for/ask when I buy this transfer case. Thanks all
