MUSTANG Wheels...What is needed to make them work?
My gf is picking up an '04 Limited on Tuesday. It currently has the 17" "laced" wheels and they are badly damaged, although the truck only has 48k on it. The rest of the vehicle looks like new, even underneath!
Anyway, I'm a diehard Mustang guy. I know these Jeeps and the 94-current Mustang share the same Bolt pattern.
So, I know the 94-04 Mustangs pretty much all had the same backspacing, but the 05+ Mustang is different. I'm wondering what the oem backspacing is on the Limited wheels. Am I better off going with the 94-04, or is the 05+ a better match?
Who has done this? I know It's been done. I want to see a few pics!!!
Also, what size spacer will I need?
Thanks guys!

i dont think anyones done this before atleast on here,if they are the same bolt pattern theyll fit,but you have to bore out the center hole to make the fit right

Ok. So you mean where the bearing caps would be? How much larger would they need to be? I know its been done for sure. I've seen it. I'm just wondering what it takes to make them fit.
Cmon lol. Someone must have done this on here.

links with some info "'94-'04 17x8" rims have 5.78" backspace and use 1.25" adapters to fit '65-'73 'stangs. '05-'06 17x8" have 5.92" backspace" pretty close tot he stock offset. add spacer to place it where you want it.

Are you guys sure the 5x5 bolt pattern is correct? I have read it is 5x4.5 a few times. I definitely seen it done before too.
Thanks for all the help guys. Now we are getting somewhere!

The ZJs bolt pattern is 5x4.5 the same as the regular Cherokee.
