Default Mouse ate wires

Hey guys, I just today got two more Grand Cherokees, another 2000, and a 2001. Now the 00 has a bad engine and the 01 is supposed to be a runner, haven't checked yet but I got a good deal so either way, whatever. And the guy seemed fairly open and honest with me about them both.
Anywho, I open the hood on the 01 and there seems to be a wire going to a 02 sensor that the mouse ate right at the connector, I looked to the green 00 for the part and the wiring isn't the same, neither is it on my 99...odd. Question is, are the connectors the same and wire length on them or are they all different from one another as the oddities in the harness differences would suggest?

It depends weither it's a CA emissions car or not. The 02 sensor layouts are different on a Federal emissions car than a CA emissions car. NY State, in it's infinite wisdom, decided all new vehicles sold originally in NY be CA emissions compliant. Most other states just require Federal standards.

This makes it more difficult for dealers to swap new cars to meet buyer's requirements. They MUST be CA compliant to be sold as new in this state. This was the story with my WJ. It was shipped to a NY dealer, then swapped to a PA dealer and sold there. Then a used car dealer bought it and transported it to Rome, NY where I bought it. SO, the original title was from PA, but it's got CA emissions.

The CA emissions setup is 4 02 sensors, 2 upstream and 2 downstream. I believe the Federal setup is 3, 2 upstream and 1 downstream. I could be totally wrong.

Mice like the salt coating the wires. That's why they eat them. Porcupines love brake hoses for the same reason.

I'm not all too sure where the blue one came from as new but was sold to the woman he got it from by a local dealer a few years back. The green one he bought in Colorado and brought home to New York and titled it. That one and my white one both have different wiring than the blue one that the wires were eaten in.

Yeah, I've got a 52 Pontiac sitting behind my house with a cover on it and it's been there for 10 years with no complaints. Out of sight, out of mind.

The one I'm parting out just happens to be a 2000 with the 4.0. Lol. The other 4.0 ones are a 99 and a 01 but those are runners, well.... Hopefully ol' blue is a runner. Can't get her to turn over with the key, RAT not mouse, ate a fuel injector wire, some evap (?) Wire, and the 02 sensor wire. That's the list as I know it now. He pulled the clock spring out of it, (previous owner, not rat) but not sure if that'll effect anything. Either way, I'm not getting a click or anything when I hit the key. Get a tiny click inside but no engagement of the starter at all. Starter cranks engine if I jump the relay but it still won't fire. Stumped at this point but would like to get it running asap.

Update... Bass turd (hehe) ate headlight wiring, the temp sensor wiring, the wiring going to a emissions thing in front of the air box, a injector wire... and who knows what else. I ended up pulling the air box out of the green one and the blue one to get to the headlight wiring on that side easier, and the green jeep has the wiring for the emissions thing that isn't there on that jeep. Just capped off and attatched to the inner fender. Snip , splice and that's fixed on the blue jeep. Still haven't gotten it to attempt to turn over with the key tho.
