im chaning the motor in my 93 zj ive found a very low millage 4.0 the guy told me it was a jasper crate motor im not sure i know the motors real clean inside and out the jeep it was in got hit in the *** but will that motor out of an xj fit in my zj? im not 100 percent sure but i was thinking that the motor mounts where different and all the externals where also, and are the trannys the same any help would work thanks

oh boy I just went through this one from a xj to a wj. What I found out was the only major difference is the blocks, where the mounts bolt to. All internals and bell housing bolts are the same. You might have trouble with the sensors so I would use the old ones off the other block. oh and to make the mounts work what I would do is get some steel and bolt that to the block and bolt the mount to the steel. It is called a adapter plate. good luck
