Hello, I drive a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ with no lift stock tires that are due to be replaced, I'm running stock wrangler rims that are 16x8 (I'm fairly sure), and 1 1/2 wheel spacers. I'm looking for an upgrade on tires to fill out the wheel well and give it more stance. I'm currently looking at the Cooper Discoverer Atp tires and was wondering what the max size I could get without rubbing
Thanks!
The rims are stock wrangler rims that I powder coated black with the center caps paint-matched
I've got 245/70R16 Cooper Discoverer AT3s on my 2000 stock WJ. They are the biggest tire I'd want to run. 75s might be okay for you, but I have no rubbing with the 70s unless the wheelwells are packed with snow. Yes, I know, you don't get much of that near you. I'd run 75s with a 2" lift, but I don't want to mess with the suspension. I deliver newspapers with my WJ and for that, it's perfect. I've pushed thru snow that covers the headlights!
My 04 WJ "Overland came with 17" rims from the factory and the Up Country Pkg. also a small lift they are 245/75/17" on it now came with 235/65's on 17x7.5" aluminum chrome wheels from the factory.
If your wheels are stock Wrangler I doubt they are 8" wide may be a bit smaller.
