I have a '10 Grand Cherokee Laredo and the main horn went out. I believe these models have a duel horn setup so when the main horn went out it still made a high pitched honk that sounds weak and forced.

I have a warranty and took it to a carmax (I know... bad decisions). They replaced it and it worked for some weeks. Then it went out again (producing the exact same weak, high pitched sound). I took it back and they replaced it a second time. A few weeks later the new horn went out again.

One note is that it rained before the new horn went out. I know horns don't like water, could this have caused it? I drove through a puddle or two but no deep water...

It will be free for them to replace it a third time since they guarantee their work but I am wondering why it keeps going out. Should I check something else? Maybe I should avoid puddles when it rains (no fun!). I don't want Carmax service to become a monthly chore but this horn is embarrassing to use to say the least...
