Default Loud Exhaust

So I cut the muffler off this weekend and cleaned out the cat. Put on a cherry bomb. The wife says it makes the house vibrate now.

Yeah a Cherry Bomb will definitely rattle the windows.

Is the Cherry Bomb really that loud? I was thinking about putting one on. I have the dynomax turbo but i kind of want the ZJ to be louder.

With a gutted/removed cat and no tail pipe the Cherry Bomb is pretty raspy and kind of loud. It's one of those love it or hate it things. It gets old quick if you don't love it!

can'tstopjeepin......will you be ready for a Walker Valley run anytime soon? Did you do a cleaned out cat and Glasspack on a V-8 GC?? If so, I bet it is loud. I had true dual exhaust on my 72 Nova in HS with 18" glasspacks. That thing sounded awesome!!

Back in the day, I had a Duster w/a slant 6, .060" over pistons, decked block for 11 to 1 comp., Crane cam, an early '60's aluminum 4-barrel intake w/a 650 Carter carb, and Clifford headers that had dual collectors. I ran 2 Cherry Bombs on that thing and it was fast but loud! At the time I thought it sounded sweet. Oh,to be young again.

Drewdertuder- I used a big pry bar and a hammer to beat the ceramics out of the inside. Messed up the o2 sensor though so be careful with that when you unplug it. Buck- Soon. I am going to by an 8000 warn from a buddy at work and I need to get some new tires. I have to slip the bb on and install my bumper. I am getting there. Work is 50-60 hours a week. Either way,we need to meet up on a Sunday or something. My jeep has the best engine made- 4.0

I thought about using the old hose but the hammer and pry bar were right there and I needed to let out a little aggression.

That's all great until you move to a state that has emissions testing... or until Saint Obama institutes nationwide emissions standards (already in the works).
