Loose hose dumping transmission fluid. Help 1993 Jeep Cherokee
The loose hose (view is from front looking back toward the passenger side)
General under the hood pic
I bought a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee and its been working great until I was driving and started having problems. I had to stop driving because the car would get high rpms and not move. I looked under the car and saw a loose hose dumping out tranny fluid. So now I've been trying to find on the internet but also by just lookin at the car to see where it goes but I cannot even find even a mention of the hose so anything helps.
-Thanks

Welcome to the forum.
The 42RE transmission in you '93 ZJ has a pair of formed steel fluid hoses to route the transmission fluid to and from the front radiator area.
The base configuration has the transmission fluid entering and exiting at the bottom and top of a side tank, w/ a single steel transmission fluid pipe internal to the engine antifreeze radiator to transfer excess heat.
Some configurations also add an additional small external transmission fluid cooler in front of the radiator for additional transmission cooling.
That dangling rubber and steel hose might have slipped off the external transmission fluid cooler, like shown in my image. It might be that removal of the front grill will permit access for reassembly / normal operation restoration.
Here are some images from my V8 / 46RH ZJ, that are similar but different to your 6 cylinder vehicle.
