I'm looking at a 02 grand laredo 4.0. I had a 92 XJ that I ran into the ground. I can't find really any good about it other than, don't buy it. What can you tell me about them

I've got an '04 Grand (WJ) w/the 4.7L V8 that we bought new in '03. It now has 97,000+ miles on it and has been great. It doesn't use any oil, rides great, very comfortable on a trip, hasn't had any mechanical problems, has never failed to start or had any electrical issues, has great heat/air, is great in the snow, and will tow up to 5,000 lbs.
It is hard on front brake rotors though. It had 3 sets replaced under warranty, and I replaced the last set and installed ceramic pads. Less pedal fade when hot, and a lot less brake dust.
