Looking to convert, should I buy this?
When I want to know about a vehicle, the first place I go is the message boards. Solid info from real owners. I am replacing my 97 F150 with something more family friendly and better on gas. A co-worker is selling his 2002 Grand Cherokee Limited for $8,000. 85,000 miles, new front end work, new (rebuilt) engine, excellent condition, well taken care of. I am looking to know if I will be happy with it. Common problems I should look for or expect, safety concerns? Another friend of mine has a 2005 and loves it! He says 23 mpg was the most he's gotten on the freeway. It's between getting another minivan (who the hell needs two of those) and staying with something with 4wd. I've had 2wd before and I am well aware that I dont HAVE to have it, even in Wisconsin, but I like the control and safety when we get the big storms (and little ones). I am hoping to keep it to around 12,000 but 10,000 would be better.
