Hey guys im new on here i was looking to buy grand cherokee WJ i have always loved them and now its time to get one! iv looked at a few and i no they last pretty long and i was wondering if i could get some things to look for when buying and your guys miles years and motor i want to get the 4.7 v8 thanks!

Welcome to the site! Good luck finding one, also search the site for some info because there is tons here!! Also if your in a section there is a search feature that you can use to help find certain threads you may need.

 

Just be aware that there is a difference between the 4.7 and the 4.7HO! Both are supposedly good engines, but you get more kick with the HO for the same fuel usage.

 

We bought an '04 WJ new w/the 4.7L V8. It's got 89,000+ miles now and it's been a great truck.
Some seem to have electrical issues so avoid any that have any problems in that area at all.

thanks for the welcome i saw this forum pop up on google alot when looking around so i figured this is a good one lol but any ideas on how long they last or anything like that? its getting to the point where iv only looked at the v8s but im staring to look at the 4.0 its starting to not matter to me but ill prolly regret it in the end with power lol
