Lockers: Electric vs Air
I have a 94 ZJ that I'm going to be putting some money into this summer. Which is better, Eaton E-Locker or ARB Air Locker? I don't see much difference between them except the fact that one is air and the other is electric.
Eventually I will probably put an onboard air system for tools and re-airing the tires. In that case would just going air now be better? Why or why not.
Also Axles: I haven't cleaned enough caked mud off the axles to see what's on it now, except knowing its OEM. With a 7" Lift and Much Larger tires(and spacers, What axles and gearing should I run?
Thanks
Trevor

With the ZJ, you probably have a D30 up front & a D35 out back... For lockers, check out RWK Haus (in vendor section) he's got the Yukon Zip Air lockers at a really good price. He also has a package deal that looks really good.
$1,900.00 +/- for D30&D35, gears, master installs, ARB compresser

I'm going with Air lockers vs the E-Lockers, personally if the air lockers stop working for some reason I feel it'll be easier for me to figure out. The E-lockers... I know very very little about. Just my $.02 though...

Good luck, it seems like a good price if you run the D35, but once you add the Crysler 8.25 29 spline on it the price jumps because he has to substitute an ARB locker.... Let us know how you do...

i wouldnt spend any money on a 35. really kind of a piece of crap axle. lots of guys put ford 8.8 axles from an exploder in their ZJ. artec industries makes what ive heard is a really good truss/bracket kit for putting the 8.8 in a ZJ. im probably just going to put in a dana 44a from a later ZJ in mine because i never plan on locking it.
