Default Lighter Charger

Can anyone tell me why absolutely everything in my WJ works BUT the two cigarette lighter power ports?

I need to charge my phone!

Check the fuses at the PDC under the hood.

Actually the lighter has a relay and fuse in the junction box under the dash and the power outlet should be fused in the PDC because it'd hot all the time. It could be someone shorted them both out by plugging in a defective devise.

Check the wires going to the element/outlet. Make sure the harnesses are connected. When I purchased my old '94 ZJ, the lighter/outlet wasn't working. I disassembled the center stack panel to install an aftermarket radio, and noticed the harness wasn't connected, or at least wasn't connected properly. I connected the harness, and it started working.

Also check the relays and fuses as Dave suggested above.

Yeah, the one under the hood controls the horn too. My horn works, so it's gotta be a fuse under the dash. There is absolutely no reason it would be unplugged. No one has ever been in there that I can tell. But I can imagine the previous owner shorting something out. I'll look in to it. I just hope it's easy to get to. I haven't had a smart phone for 10 months, and just got a new one. It's awesome being able to jam to my spotify playlists. The stock systems in these are pretty good. It's rare that you get CD, Tape, and Radio with an equalizer and a bunch of speakers stock.

I actually have two Diamond Audio 10" DVC Subs in a Bandpass Box I barely even used from my teens... I got the space for them now. But do I really want to rattle all my bolts loose? It would help me not hear the rear axle bearings I can't afford at the moment. Ha.

Anyway, bottom line is I need to figure it out because my phone battery is draining too fast.
