Default Lifting my Wj

Few questions. Whats the best and sturdiest way to lift my wj. Is it better to use spacers? Or to just get the bigger coils. Are stabilizers necessary? Should I get a steering stabilizer or is that not really gonna factor into handling.

Full suspension lift would be the beat route-coils, trackbar, control arms, shocks, etc. Steering stabilized depends on how big of tires your gonna run. First decide what its gonna be used for- daily driver, weekend wheeler, only see dirt rarely, full wheeler. Then buy a lift based on that

Ive seen the thread. That wasnt my question. I can easily find lift kits and parts. My issue was which parts I need. And what are the best methods. Like using just the larger coils and shocks or using the stock ones with spacers. Thats my question.

Parts needed depends on the height you are trying to achieve.
a 4" lift will require the following
Shocks
Extended brake lines
Coils
Control arms (8)*
Trackbar (2)

*You can get away with new lowers and stock uppers but you won't have the adjustability to set your pinion angle/caster as well as you would with new adjustable uppers as well.

I only plan on lifting it 2". I live on Long Island so there isnt exactly too much crazy terrain. And Im not going to be driving it on any beaches.

What would be the best way to lift it with those parameters.

Iron rock off road builds great lifts, they are also great people to deal with. I installed their 7" lift in my ZJ.
The website for them is www.ironrockoffroad.com

For a small 2" lift I would just get the spacers. But you will have to check a few things to see if there ok to use; Shocks, brake lines, track bar, controls arms. Many people just throw the spacers in and they figure there good to go. Anytime you change the suspension from stock you stand the chance of upsetting the balance. Upset that balance to much and you can get death wobble, uneven tire wear, etc....

So for a 2" lift, spacers will due. But make sure you take it for a test drive and see if there maybe other things you might have to change.
