Default leaking coolant, not overheating

My jeep is leaking coolant. It will only leak once the engine is shut off, and only when it is warm. If I start it up and go for a quick drive it will not leak. Runs and sounds good, no knocks or strange noises.

Engine runs at a constant 195-200 degrees. It does not overheat. The leak does not occur when the engine is running, but leaks a good 2-4 oz. right when its turned off. Opened up the radiator cap and it full to the very top. On the test drive 1 week ago the heater worked fine. I'm about to go for a little drive and see if the heater is still working.

That's a slow drip leak. It's either leaking from the weep hole on the water pump, a crack at the gasket, or a water pump bolt snapped. Trace the leak up to it's highest point and you'll have your problem. Gravity doesn't lie.

you have the t-stat housing, the water pump, both radiator hoses, and hetar hoses all at the front of the engine. It could be any of those things leaking.

Check the dinky little hose coming off the top of the radiator where the radiator cap is, mine had a similar problem. Also check clamps on upper and lower hoses, and check radiator on the side where they are stamped together, mine would randomly open up and close by itself and leak

I just had the exact same problem. Except I would leak the entire thing in 1 night, not running.

I just replaced the water pump and heater hose.
3 hours and $75 later it worked great! Although I didn't replace the thermostat at the time and now it is stuck on 58 degrees outside. So you might want to replace that also.
Hope it works out for you!

I'm jealous. Got the water pump and serp belt replaced. No leak, and running great. Can't do it myself yet - bye bye $600

Thanks everyone for the help. I've learned more here in a week than I can anywhere else.

Problem resolved!
