I've been doing some modifications to my ZJ lately. An electric cooling fan conversion and a one ton steering swap. I got the fan from a 94 Taurus 3.0 for 20 bucks and a fan control module from Flex-a-Lite for 55 dollars off of Amazon. Some trimming of the fan shroud, a couple simple brackets, and some wiring that was super easy. It kicks on at 150 degrees or any time the A/C is on. Works great. The one ton steering is from JCR. I got the rock rods for 215, the TREs came from rockauto (40 bucks shipped), and I had to find two jam nuts (7/8-18 and7/8-18LH). I also had to buy a reamer to resize the knuckles and pitman arm, that was another 65 dollars. I had some extra knuckles at the shop from a 94 XJ, so I reamed them and got them ready for an easy swap. Then I realized the XJ did not have ABS and my ZJ does. The XJ knuckles were not machined for the wheel speed sensors. So I drilled and tapped the needed holes for the sensors. I must have done good because there were no ABS codes. So far I'm very pleased with my mods and recommend them to anybody. Next up is a lift and tires.

It looks really fine. Recently I'm thinking of creating an electrical thermostat, from a 12 volt 2" magnet valve and an adjustable control unit, instead of the mechanical one.

No need to re-invent the wheel, there are a ton of thermostatic switches available in many different configurations, I chose the one I did just for the simplicity.
