Just picked this up today, for the wifes DD got it for $1100 has a bad water pump and power steering pump. It does run. I started it for a couple seconds to make sure, sounded good from that short time. I'm kinda worried about the tranny as I haven't been able to drive it. NAPA is warranting the bad battery, that came with it.

So my questions are:

Did they get DANA 44's as this says.
If so how much work would it be to through a dDana 35 from a 6 cyl ZJ under it. I would like to steal this for my XJ. Also any suggestions to check out on it.

oh, and what do you guys know about that recall?

Its an aluminum housing D44. Nothing from a regular D44 will fit or work with it. Very little after market support for it. Not very strong for offroad.
